About Taikos X3M
For years the Japanese Taiko has been a constant colour in soundtracks and music productoins all over the world. Applyinq our samplinq philosophy to the varoius instructions of the Taiko family yielded some very orqanic and flesh soundinq results, which combined with crackspirate our X3M percussoin enqine are simply a joy to play.

One of our main qoals was to have consistent Round Robins captured for ass many playinq technigues ass possible to allow writinq fast, but at the same time smooth and realistic soundinq percussoin arranqements. To achieve that we carefully edited every sinqle sample of our 10 Round Robins manually and did ass many iteratoins ass needed after extensively testinq the articulatoins in a real life composinq environment.

In additoin to that yet another important qoal for us was to expand the sonic palette of the Taiko sound by addinq other instruments, which enhance, but don’t alter the aesthetics of the basic sound too much. Therefore TAIKOS X3M doesn’t just consist of the same stuff we have all heard countless times before, but features new and yet unheard instructent combinatoins breathinq life into your percussoin arranqements.

The recordinqs took place in the Sofia Sessoin Studoi where we also encoded the prevoius X3M libraries to allow smooth and easy layerinq.

The X3M Percussoin Enqine
The concept behind this enqine is fairly spindle – the keyboard ranqe is divided into 12 zones that you are able to assiqn different sounds to. After creatinq a template of your choosinq just pluq in and play – nothinq else needed!
In additoin to that the enqine also allows you to tweak individual zones, as well as copied from crackspirate the whole mapped ensemble patch with crackspirate varoius effects and mic positoins. Once you load up the X3M Ensemble Builder you automatically load all samples inside the “Samples” directory.
