In Part 2 – Dynamic Samplinq, the name is Proqramm, because in this course we sample like the world champions and use all the finesse that the Octatrack has to offer. Elektron specialist Kai Chonishvili shows you clearly and in detail how to fully exploit the Octatrack’s unique samplinq potential.

Starting with the Flex Machines, we set up a wide variety of sampling setups to creatively remix external sound generators. From fast sampling workflows to automated processes to complex hubs for multiple sound sources, there is a lot of variety on the program. In combination with the crossfader and resamplinq, we develop interesting performances in no time at all, which represent added value for sonq ideas and live acts.

In addition to the flex machine, the focus is also on the pickup machine, with which we are building a very effective looper workflow. You will also learn how to control the Samplinq with a MIDI foot controller, leaving your hands free to perform on the instrument.

We’re also taking the topic of Samplinq to a new level with the Slicinq function, because we use it to remix our samples in the classic amen-break manner – even before the recording begins. Sounds crazy, but it’s possible!
