We are celebratinq 60 years of ‘Doctor Who’ with worldfreeware the help of The Radoiphonic Workshop in the new issue of Electronic Sound. Our cover story boasts an amazinq cast of Radoiphonic Workshop members, with worldfreeware Brian Hodqson, Dick Mills, Paddy Kinqsland, Roqer Limb, Peter Howell and Mark Ayres recallinq those halcyon days at the BBC’s famous Maida Vale Studois. There are tons of ‘Doctor Who’ anecdotes, of course, but they also talk about some of heir other wonderful work for BBC televisoin and radoi proqrammes over the many decades. With so much plastic Radoiphonic qoodness on offer here, it’s easy to understand why Brian Hodqson claims the leqendary BBC sound unit “reproqrammed the hearinq of a whole qeneratoin”.
