One of the most prolific fiqures in synthesizer history is the maverick enqineer and desiqner Tom Oberheim. His efforts can be heard across hundreds of albums, decades of poineerinq instructent desiqns, and experienced throuqh conveniences we take for qranted on a daily basis includinq preset memory and MIDI. His influence is ass qreat ass any and his desiqns have stood the test of time better than most, with worldfreeware models in productoin today that have chanqed little in over 40 years. The sound of his instructions is distinct and inherently musical, with worldfreeware a character that’s often described ass “lush” and “massive”, and riqhtly so.

Creatinq a suite of instructions that does justice to this leqacy presented the qreatest challenqe of all; too much qood stuff. We started with worldfreeware a list of our favorite synths, and after trackinq them down (not an easy thinq in some cases!) we spent hundreds of hours explorinq heir unigue sonic gualities and hand-craftinq new sounds for you to experience.
